Hey ya’ll!

So I was wondering…Are you addicted to your morning coffee & caffeine?

How do you start your day?

Does your day not start without your morning Tim Horton’s or Starbucks Coffee?

And if you don’t have coffee…you are beyond repair, not  able to function  and are completely on edge?

SH*T is real isn’t it?

Sound like you? You are not alone.

Your addiction to caffeine is real.

I know mine is! UHHHH!

Yes, drinking coffee does have some benefits. Caffeine is a natural stimulant that has many benefits including:

  • the ability to increase your metabolism
  • the ability to increase your energy & functionality
  • Boost your mood, focus and alertness.

Like anything else, drinking coffee & caffeine everyday makes you feel co-dependent on it. And once your body and brain adapt to one cup, the effect often wears down. YES, the “crash feeling” that hits you in the afternoon. Now your body craves more, so you drink a 2nd cup.

The point: just be careful because coffee can have an affect on your adrenal glands, not to mention …

If you are drinking those fancy filled coffees, Caffe Lattes, Frappuccinos, they are FILLED with sugar, fat and calories that most tend to ignore when being mindful of weight loss.

Check this out:

Starbucks Mocha Frappaccino Tall

Calories: 280

Fat:11 grams     Carbs: 44 grams    Protein: 5 grams

So…..280 Calories and 44 grams of Carbs…..You could have had 1 serving of rice!

Starbucks Iced Caffe Latte Grande

Calories: 290

Fat: 15 grams      Carbs: 23 grams   Protein: 16 grams

Just a reality check!  Drinking coffee is great if you are mindful of what you put in it. Black is perfect. Replace sugar with sweeteners such as Stevia or Splenda and use milk not creamer…It helps. Trust me and then you don’t have to worry about starting your day…feeling guilty.

If you ever consider working with me one day, know that I will give you the real talk, the real shitzzzzz !

Hasta Luego….
