Balance – Saying no to others really means saying YES to yourself. 🛀 🤌
You are giving yourself permission to rest, reset and rebalance so you can be better for yourself and those around you. 🕯️ I must admit my whole life, the art of “balance” has been one of the most challenging things for me. Whatever I did (and still do) it’s either all or nothing .. and I am super competitive, whether it’s in sports, dancing, cooking, or a simple arm wrestle. LOL! Now on the surface that can be commendable however it can also be a path to mental, physical, and emotional BURN OUT. What I have had to learn on this journey of life is, It’s OK to not be 150% all the time, it’s okay to take the foot off the pedal because we all need BALANCE.
In life priorities change, seasons change and as the years pass you may find the pendulum swing the complete opposite way. With family, a 9-5 job, children…activities etc., “balance” seems less about your needs and more about everyone else’s Some of you may even experience guilt for trying to make time for your own self-care and needs BUT Recognize this: moderation is the key.
When you say no to others, YOU ARE SAYING YES TO YOURSELF You are giving yourself permission to rest, reset and rebalance so you can be better for yourself and those around you. So, take the necessary “me time” we often seem to neglect to others as time restore and relax…have a bath, go for a walk, or pamper yourself with a facial…whatever works for you! #selflove #lifebalance
