I won’t say “Happy New Year”….

Why?  Because that phrase alone brings anxiety to so many people about expectations they can’t often meet.

Yep…so Christmas has come and gone and we are all tormented with guilt from the “naughty indulgences” over the holiday week.

There were too many treats, too many beverages, and too many pounds added to the scale…

Now it’s New Year’s week and you are beating yourself up.

Don’t be so hard on yourself. YOU are human. Trust me as I am going through the same thing.

Sooooo…

I want you to change your mindset.

Forget New Year’s day and New Year’s resolutions.

Wayyy over rated….

I want to “Train your Brain” to think of everyday as New Year’s, which means YOU have the opportunity to be better EVERY DAY. It’s about the journey of making “sh*t” happen.
It’s about giving yourself a chance, a second chance or even a third.

My advice is to be realistic and start to ease into those 2018 resolutions.

I know, I know…the pressure we put on ourselves…and what is worse is when we deliberately set ourselves up for failure.

Be smart about your goals. Whether it is to lose weight, eat healthier, gain muscle, or be more active, it’s all in your HEAD. New Year’s resolutions should really be everyday of the year.

Take the time to sit down and make your goals real by writing them down.

Create a list and a vision board.  You will find that you make yourself more accountable if you WRITE YOUR GOALS DOWN! Do you need help organizing them?

Vision boards are great. Tear out those photos from your favourite magazines and put them up in your locker, kitchen, bedroom, wherever the place is that you will most frequently see it. Take the baby steps to success.

Remember success starts on the inside, not on the outside.
